How you can volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Darrell
Green Youth Life Foundation! The Foundation has made a commitment
to empowering children and, thus, strengthening families and
communities. We welcome committed persons eager to take part
in such a vital task!
The mission of the Darrell Green Youth Life Foundation (DGYLF)
is to help children develop into leaders who positively influence
their families and communities. The DGYLF mission is carried
out through our Youth Life Learning Centers via our after school
and summer programs.
There are several Youth Life Learning Centers in the Washington
Metropolitan area:
- Franklin Commons, Northeast, DC
- Kent Village, Landover, MD
- Washington View, Southeast, DC
Each Center is open Monday-Friday and serves children from
3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Recognizing the importance of providing sound examples for
our children, the Foundation seeks individuals who are committed
to serving children and display moral integrity and positive
character.
Whether you are gifted in administration, tutoring, or outreach
we have a volunteer opportunity for you. Once again, we thank
you for your interest in supporting us and the children and
families we serve.
For volunteer opportunities please contact Fanta David at
