Our History

Established in 1988, the not-for-profit Darrell Green Youth Life Foundation was created to make a difference in the lives of children whose family lives and circumstances have limited their opportunities to realize their potential.

By exemplifying both the integrity and values-based leadership of its founder, All-Pro Washington Redskins cornerback Darrell Green, the Foundation has given each and every child it has come into contact with the kind of guidance and support needed for each child to grow into a successful and productive young adult.

Darrell Green's commitment to the children at Youth Life Learning Centers in Washington, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee is not new. His dedication is as long as his football legacy—an NFL history-making 20 years.
